About Me
In 2008, I thought I had found my calling in terms of a life career working five years in cabinetry.
Then, as the housing market bubble was rearing it's ugly head, and I found myself teaching the cabinet designer how to be a sawyer. I was laid off at the beginning of 2009.
In the meantime I figured I should try to teach myself how to make something that I would need for the rest of my life.
Unemployment at that time was around 20%, and I found a job working on an assembly line putting together AC units for solar inverters - not my idea of a interesting job working with my hands.
I ended up moving back to my home state of Washington and did more odd jobs and finally, after 5 years of my wife trying to convince me to screen in to the Pike Place Market with my soap, I applied.
Needless to say, I was accepted and eventually quit my day job and have been making my all natural body products full time since 2017.
